ICDC Members enjoyed a cultural festival attended by over 200 internationally-minded professionals along with high-ranking diplomatic staff from 19 embassies. The event presented a wonderful opportunity to indulge in food tastings of native delicacies prepared by the embassies represented.

The International Club of DC and the Embassy of Croatia presented a dinner reception and delightful evening of Croatian culture, music, wine, and cuisine on the occasion of the 159th anniversary of the birth of Croatian-born scientist Nikola Tesla. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to Discover Beautiful Croatia, "Land of a Thousand Islands," as they met other guests while enjoying live music performances. Tesla Motors was presented attendees with special test rides in the Tesla Model S, the world's most sophisticated car incorporating Nikola Tesla's electric motor technology.

At the Austrian Embassy, one of the grandest diplomatic venues in Washington DC, we experienced a magical evening of dancing to a live orchestra performing the world’s most beloved waltzes and music from around the world. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception and an elegant dinner buffet of Austrian cuisine followed by an exquisite selection of delectable desserts. Our 1920s-themed Great Gatsby Ball is one of our most popular summer events. F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel “The Great Gatsby” characterized the glamor and decadence of the 1920s and the gala presents attendees the opportunity to experience the elegance, splendor, and extravagance of 1920s America as they discovered the secret world of speakeasy.

Each year on the summer solstice, the French gather in the streets to celebrate the change of seasons with la Fête de la Musique — a dynamic tapestry of music and dancing. ICDC members enjoyed this annual Summer Music and Garden Festival, the largest cultural festival hosted at the French Embassy. The lively atmosphere in the French Embasys garden included over 50 bands and street performers from around the world.

We celebrated our 9th anniversary with a spectacular gala and an unforgettable evening of elegance and sophistication in the the Grand Ballroom of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Festivities for the evening included dancing to two live bands, lavish dinner buffet, extravagant dessert buffet, dance performances, and more!

We enjoyed a fun-filled evening combining the most exquisite chocolate of the world with fine wine from Spain. International Club of DC members enjoyed an exclusive after-hours engagement at The Kreeger Museum, one of the world's finest museums of 19th and 20th century masterpieces of Monet, Picasso, Renoir, Cézanne, and others. ICDC members enjoyed a magnificent New Year’s Eve celebration at one of Washington’s most luxurious hotels as we rang in 2014 in style. The gala featured a night of music, wine, dinner, desserts and dancing to 6 live bands, DJs along with a variety of other entertainment. Our annual New Year’s Eve celebration is Washington’s premiere NYE Gala for internationally-minded professionals.

At the Mexican Cultural Institute of the Embassy of Mexico, one of DC's most magnificent diplomatic venues, ICDC members enjoyed a spectacular cultural celebration with 18 Ibero-American embassies including the embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Dominican Republic, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela.

We experienced a magical and an unforgettable Viennese celebration of music, food, wine and dancing. Our annual Viennese Ball presents the perfect setting to bring to life the timeless elegance of a Viennese Ball, as experienced in Vienna. Guests feast on champagne, wine, dinner, and a lavish dessert buffet in the finest Viennese tradition along with dancing to the sounds of The Salon Orchestra of Washington, as they perform beloved Strauss waltzes and ballroom music.

We celebrated Bastille Day with a a gala celebration of music and dancing along with a grand feast of the finest gathering of French restaurants in DC. Attendees enjoyed cocktails served at the open bar while perusing art and luxury items offered at the silent auction. ICDC Members joined other outgoing, internationally-minded professionals in the city and around the globe to celebrate New Year's Eve in grand style. We reserved the largest hotel in DC to present a magnificent celebration with 8 separate cultural celebrations spanning 8 spacious ballrooms. Attendees enjoyed free-flowing champagne along with drinks served at the open bar. Elaborate dinner and dessert buffets were presented featuring the cuisine of 5 International Cities.

The “Sunset and Moonlight kayaking” sessions on the Potomac River are one of the most popular outdoor events organized by the International Club of DC. Paddlers conclude their weekend with a most memorable evening of kayaking by the Georgetown waterfront. Kayaking is not only a thrilling water sport, but it also lets you get close to nature while gently gliding just inches from the water.

Members of the International Club of DC enjoyed an evening of French wine, French art, and dance in the ballroom of the Embassy of France. The evening started with a French wine reception as attendees enjoyed the artwork at the embassy and was followed by a dance lesson followed by dancing. Members of the International Club of DC enjoyed a memorable cruise on the Potomac with dancing under the stars to the live music of a Latin jazz band. We departed from Georgetown with magnificent views of the monuments and the illuminated skyline at a distance. Attendees enjoyed champagne aboard the yacht as well as the opportunity to meet, dance, and socialize with other ICDC members.

We enjoyed a very special and rare opportunity to experience A Holiday Gala in Kyiv at the Embassy of Ukraine. The evening featured a dinner buffet feast of traditional Ukrainian delicacies along with dancing to a Ukrainian Band performing waltzes and other dance music in the elegant and historic ballroom of the embassy.

Members of the International Club of DC enjoyed a night of dancing and an unforgettable Halloween celebration at our International Halloween Soiree at the Embassy Row Hotel! Attendees dressed up in their funniest, craziest, and scariest costumes to enjoy the evening while meeting ICDC members and making new friends from around the world.

The International Club of DC has the best seats in town for spectacular views of the July 4th fireworks with views of the illuminated monuments and Washington skyline. Watching the fireworks from the river is truly an unforgettable and magical experience. Gently cruising past the majestic monuments of Washington with the shimmering lights of DC as a backdrop is a wonderful way to enjoy the July 4th fireworks.

The International Club of DC, in collaboration with the Phillips Collection, presented a special evening of art and language discussion along with the opportunity for a private viewing of one of the world’s finest collections of impressionistic and modern art by American and European artists. The artworks of the Phillips collection includes works by Degas, Cézanne, Gauguin, van Gogh, Bonnard, Matisse, Picasso, Braque, Klee, Homer, Whistler, Hopper, Stieglitz, O'Keeffe, Calder, Rothko, and many others.

Members of the International Club of DC enjoyed a lavish NYE celebration at the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel featuring dancing to music of 8 live bands.This video clip was generated by combining approximately 1200 photos that were taken using an intervalometer over about 2 hours at the New Year's Eve Gala. The photos were then combined together to generate a movie with 10 frames per second.

Members of the International Club of DC enjoyed the 2012 Euro Night celebration at the Embassy of France featuring the participation of over 20 European Union Embassies. The evening presented a wonderful opportunity to sample European cuisine, culture, music, art, and wine.Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed enjoy live music while taking a cultural tour around Europe, feasting on national dishes and discovering European traditions!
