Enjoy a Delightful Performance of Slovak Jazz

The ensemble features five exceptional Slovakian musicians under 30. These award-winning artists, recognized by international competitions and Slovakian Forbes 30 under 30, bring a unique blend of artistry and innovation to their performances. Their original compositions explore a captivating fusion of jazz with baroque influences and traditional Slovakian folk elements.

The delightful sextet brings a fresh and energetic take on jazz, with all members contributing original compositions that reflect their unique musical voices. Rooted in the vibrant traditions of Slovakian culture, their music seamlessly blends jazz with elements of Slovak music, as well as with baroque and folk influences. As young Slovak composers and performers, they offer a contemporary sound that bridges tradition and innovation, delivering a dynamic performance.

The lineup includes Ester Wiesnerova on voice, Maria Rehakova on flute, Lenka Molcanyiova on recorder and saxophone, Alan Bartus on piano, American guest Chris Worden on bass, and Mattia Muller on drums.

The Concert is a Fundraiser for Music Education in Slovakia

This concert supports Za hranice s hudbou (Music Beyond Borders), a nonprofit founded by band members Lenka Molcanyiova, Maria Rehakova, and Ester Wiesnerova to revitalize music education in Slovakia. Since 2017, the organization has engaged over 650 students annually, promoting contemporary genres like jazz, pop, and world music, and fostering creativity and collaboration among musicians aged 13 to 30. Your attendance or donation helps empower the next generation through education, career advice, and opportunities, inspiring positive change in Slovakia and beyond.

Space is limited so please make your reservations early.

The event will be presented rain, shine, or snow and event details including the concert and musical program are subject to change without notice.
