Join us within the storied walls of Georgetown's Dumbarton House for a night that promises the enchantment of Regency romance and the elegance of Austen's world with an enchanting evening of classical music, wine, dessert, and dance at one of Georgetown’s most magnificent mansions.

Explore the Grandeur of Dumbarton House with optional tours of the historic rooms of the Dumbarton House mansion, each telling a story from centuries past. Between dances, stroll through the manicured gardens under the stars, a perfect backdrop for an evening of refinement and Regency romance.

An evening of Austen, ambiance, and amusement, the Jane Austen Ball is a journey back in time and the chance to live out the pages of your favorite Austen novel. Secure your reservation now as space is limited, and our formal balls frequently sell out!

Enjoy a selection of desserts with wine and other drinks available for purchase at the cash bar.

A Partner or Prior Dance Experience Not Needed to Attend
You do not need a date or a dance partner to attend the ball so join us on your own or invite your friends to join us for a magical night from the pages of a Jane Austen novel! Even if you’ve never danced before, let us show you how to dance the waltz before the ball.

A Regency Soirée at Dumbarton House: Waltzing Amidst the Elegance
Dance in the ballroom of Dumbarton House to our classical ensemble as they expertly perform delightful waltzes and other dance music as you sway to the music and imagine yourself in the halls of Pemberley.

Discover the Magic of Dumbarton House
Embark on optional tours through the historic mansion's rooms, where tales of yesteryear linger in the air. As the evening unfolds, waltz through the beautifully manicured gardens beneath a canopy of stars—a quintessential setting for an affair filled with refinement and literary romance.

Desserts and Wine Available for Purchase
Indulge in a selection of delectable desserts with wine and other drinks available for purchase at the cash bar.

All online reservations are final. We are unable to issue refunds for tickets purchased due to expenses incurred to present the event. Make your reservations early, as space is limited. Cost of reservations is subject to increase as we approach the date of the event.

Event Agenda (May change)

6:30 PM Admission commences: Enjoy desserts and wine available for purchase at the cash bar as you meet other guests attending the event.

After a brief period of socializing, enjoy waltz dance lessons prior to dancing to the music of a classical ensemble performing waltzes and other dance music. If you purchase a ticket for the dance lessons, please make sure that you arrive at 6:30 PM.

8:00 PM Enjoy an evening of music and dance as you sway to the rhythms of our classical orchestra.

9:00 Optional tours of Dumbarton House conclude with the last tour at 9PM.

10:00 PM Event concludes.
