A Partner or Prior Dance Experience Not Needed to Attend
You do not need a date or a dance partner to attend so join us on your own or invite your friends to join us for a magical holiday celebration of Regency romance. Even if you’ve never danced before, let us show you how to dance, with waltz lessons before the ball.

A Regency Soirée at Dumbarton House: Waltzing Amidst the Elegance
Step into the elegance of a bygone era! Set within the storied walls of one of Georgetown’s most cherished landmarks, our holiday celebration transports you to the grandeur and intrigue of 19th-century London, surrounded by the sparkle of the holiday season. The night promises the enchantment of Regency romance and a magical evening of classical music, wine, dessert, and dance.

You are encouraged to dress up in formal, vintage or period attire inspired by the Regency era. Cocktail attire is also welcome!

Embark on optional tours through the historic mansion's rooms, where tales of yesteryear linger in the air. Dance in the ballroom of Dumbarton House to our classical ensemble performing music inspired by Bridgerton with delightful waltzes and other music for an enchanting night of dancing.

Explore the Grandeur of Dumbarton House with optional tours of the historic rooms of the Dumbarton House mansion, each telling a story from centuries past. Between dances, stroll through the manicured gardens under the stars (weather permitting!), a perfect backdrop for an evening of refinement and elegance.

Indulge in Desserts and Wine Available for Purchase
Indulge in a selection of delectable desserts with wine and other drinks available for purchase at the cash bar.

All online ticket sales are final. We are unable to issue refunds for tickets purchased due to expenses incurred to present the event.

Event Agenda (May change)

6:30 PM Admission commences: Enjoy desserts and wine available for purchase at the cash bar as you meet other guests attending the event.

After a brief period of socializing, enjoy waltz dance lessons prior to dancing to the music of a classical ensemble performing waltzes and other dance music. If you purchase a ticket for the dance lessons, please make sure that you arrive at 6:30 PM.

8:00 PM Enjoy an evening of music and dance as you sway to the rhythms of our classical orchestra.

9:00 Optional tours of Dumbarton House conclude with the last tour at 9PM.

10:00 PM Event concludes.
